The mayors Ruken Yetiþkin and Lezgin Bingöl who were members of executive board of Istanbul Baðcýlar office of DEHAP at the time were on trial for a meeting that they organised in Istanbul on 16 May 2004.

After the court of cassation upheld the judgement Mazlum Akgün head of Hanelmalý village in Tatvan was taken in to custody. While Ruken Yetiþkin’s sentence was reprieved for 5 years, Lezgin Bingöl applied Istanbul prosecutor’s office for reprieve.
