The coordination of the Kurdish youth organizations Komalên Jinên Ciwan (KJC) and Komalên Ciwan (KC) announced in a statement their participation in the campaign launched on September 12 by the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) under the motto "End isolation, fascism and occupation; time for freedom". The coordination of the KJC and KC calls on the youth in Kurdistan and in the diaspora to participate in this campaign and to make their contribution. The statement continues:
"The fascist genocidal Turkish state, the international conspiracy bloc and the local collaborator traitors have put Rêber Apo [Abdullah Öcalan] under a heavy isolation on Imralı during these 21 years of systematic torture which is intensifying day by day. They have put our people and all Kurdistan under this Imrali system of torture chamber and want to succeed with their policy of eradication in the person of Rêber Apo. In the whole world, especially in the Middle East, where the spirit of freedom and revolution is at its highest level, the will of women for freedom has shaken the whole earth. In such a phase, created by processes of change and new developments, the founder of the values of our homeland and our consciousness of being a folk, Rêber Apo, is wanted to be completely left aside so that our people and our homeland be left behind in a darkness for another a hundred years.
As a practical result of the conditions of aggravated isolation, especially against women, youth and the whole society, the greatest plundering of the nature of Kurdistan is being carried out amidst attacks, rapes, eradication and all forms of fascist attacks and moral degradation. At the same time, there is an attempt to destroy the Middle Eastern people's aspirations for freedom through mercenary mobs.
On the other hand, the aspirations of women and youth to gain a free life and to get rid of imperialism and colonialism have reached a peak. The leadership of the fascist genocidal AKP-MHP government, with its intensification of isolation against Rêber Apo on the prison island of Imrali, is fighting the aspirations of the spirit of freedom with its fascist genocidal system. On this basis, the freedom of Rêber Apo has a special historical significance for our homeland Kurdistan and the Middle East.
The leadership of the fascist junta of September 12 [1980], which took action against our Kurdistan Freedom Struggle and against our social values in the prison of Amed with its inhuman, immoral and fascist actions, continues to carry out its actions today with its junta regime in the form of warfare led by the AKP-MHP. This warfare of the AKP-MHP regime carries out an unprecedented special war. With oppression, torture, rape, feminide, the politics of genocide, with poverty and the destruction of nature, a special war is being carried out against our people. Just as the great resistance of the death fast of July 14 razed the fascism of September 12 to the ground, our freedom movement will raze this warfare of the AKP-MHP to the ground and its fascist attacks with the beginning of the campaign by liberating Rêber Apo.
On this basis, we as Komalên Jinên Ciwan and Komalen Ciwan announce our participation in the campaign declared by our freedom movement on September 12, "End isolation, fascism and occupation; time for freedom. We call on all the youth in Kurdistan and in the diaspora to take part in this process and give their contribution. Against the surrender, which the fascist junta of September 12 tried to impose on the Apoist militants with heavy torture in the prison in Amed, the immortal martyr Elî Çîçek left us his legacy of resistance as a perspective to participate in the freedom process in the death fast in prison with his saying "The PKK has not taught us surrender but resistance". We, the youth of Kurdistan, hereby declare that we will fulfill our pioneering role in all areas and will be an essential part of this freedom process for victory.
On this basis, we call on the patriotic youth and young women of Kurdistan, especially revolutionary youth, leftists, socialists and democrats, to become part of the campaign "End the isolation, fascism and occupation; time for freedom", to hold the occupying fascist AKP-MHP accountable and to be successful with a great participation.”
