The march by Kurdish youths living in Europe to condemn the ongoing isolation of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan and massacre of civilians in Northern Kurdistan continues in its third day.
The 56 km long march from German city of Wuppertal to Düsseldorf, led by Jinen Ciwanên Azad and Ciwanên Azad, witnesses great enthusiasm despite the provocative attacks directed on them by some Turkish fascist groups.
The marchers gathered in Kurdish-Alevi Association in Oberbergischer Kreis early this morning and departed for 11 km walk. The organising committee reiterated its call for mass participation in the march, while the youth continues the action in high spirit.
The long march witnesses an enthusiasm with the youths chanting slogans, singing and dancing, who also vowe to continue their actions until the Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan is freed.
The marchers will hold a seminar after they complete the 11 km route this evening entitled “Democratic and Ecologic Paradigm Based on Women’s Liberation”.
Answering the call of Jinen Ciwanên Azad and Ciwanên Azad, over 150 young Kurdish people started 56 km long march from Wuppertal city of Germany on September 1. The march will end on Friday in the city of Düsseldorf where the traditional Kurdish Culture Festival will be held.
