Kurdish youths march in Germany for freedom of Öcalan

Kurdish youths living in Europe have today started a 56 km long march in the German city of Wuppertal to condemn the ongoing isolation of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan and massacre of civilians in Northern Kurdistan.

Kurdish youths living in Europe have today started a 56 km long march in the German city of Wuppertal to condemn the ongoing isolation of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan and massacre of civilians in Northern Kurdistan.

The march led by Jinen Ciwanên Azad and Ciwanên Azad has started from the German city of Wuppertal at 09:00 today- World Peace Day- with the partipation of 150 youths.

The march will end on Friday in the city of Düsseldorf where the traditional Kurdish Culture Fest will be held. Demonstrators will march 13 km today till the evening when they will gather at Wuppertal Kurdish Culture Centre for a commemoration ceremony for two fallen guerrillas Erzincan Merke and Cihan Sinemli.

The youths will spend the night in Remscheid from where they will continue the march at 09:00 tomorrow morning.

“Long live Leader Apo”, “Woman, Life, freedom”, “Youth is dedicated to Apo” are among the frequently chanted slogans in the march which witnesses big enthusiasm.
