Kurds organised demonstration for Öcalan in Düsseldorf

Activists underlined that Leyla Güven’s demand to end isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan is the demand of the entire Kurdish people.

Kurds living in Düsseldorf, Germany, organized a demonstration in front of the NRW Parliament.

The demo was organised to show solidarity with the ongoing indefinite hunger strike resistance, led by DTK co-chair and the HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven.

Activists underlined that Leyla Güven’s demand to end isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan is the demand of the entire Kurdish people.

The action was promoted by the Democratic Kurdish Community Center in Düsseldorf and by Nalin Muş Women Initiative in Düsseldorf.

A banner was opened in front of the NRW Parliament with the slogan of the resistance: “Let's smash isolation - Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan”.

Activists carried photos of Leyla Güven and Abdullah Öcalan and chanted slogans against isolation.

A dossier was presented to the NRW State Parliament to explain the demands of hunger strikers and the regime of isolation imposed on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Activists also handed out leaflets in German explaining the reasons for the hunger strike.
