After a minute silence, DKTM co-chairs Hatice Gönen and Iskender Torba, Martyr Meryem Women's Commune co-spokesperson Xeco Donma and DKTM Hildesheim member Beşî Gönen addressed the crowd.

Beşî Gönen said that the unity of the Kurds could not be affected by assassinations and added that these killings, such as that of Mam Zeki Shengal in Shengal and Diyar Xerib in Kandil, have Kurdish unity as their target.

Xeco Donma, the Women's Commune Co-operative, condemned the “murderer“ Turkish state and those collaborating with it.

Memorial rally in Berlin

A rally to pay tribute to Diyar Xerib was organised in Berlin. The Berlin Free Kurdistan Community, DEST-DAN Berlin Women's Assembly and PYD Berlin organized the rally in Brandenburg Tor, one of Berlin historic squares. ATIK supported the rally.

After a minute silence for the martyrs of the revolution and freedom, speeches were made to pay tribute to Diyar Xerib and the other guerrillas who lost their life during the airstrikes by the Turkish army in South Kurdistan.

Activists condemned both the Turkish state and those collaborating with it.
