People's Defense Forces Press Office HPG-BIM said in a written statement on Monday that Turkish army has launched an operation near the Esendere town of Hakkari's Yüksekova district on Saturday.

HPG remarked that the operation was launched by soldiers deployed at the Efeker military post in the town of Esendere. According to the statement, the operation is still continuing.

HPG-BIM, also giving information about an intense activity of Turkish reconnaissance aircraft in Kandil and the rural areas of Şırnak and Kars, said that unmanned aerial vehicles of the Turkish army have recently intensified reconnaissance flights in Media Defense Areas on 13-15 September, in Çemçe region in the Kağızman district of Kars on 14 September, and around the Cudi mountain in Şırnak region, and in Çemçe, Madür ve Geliyê Haci areas, as of 15 September.
