NAV-DEM and FEDA call for participation in the protest in Cologne

NAV-DEM and FEDA have called for strong participation in the march and protest to be held in Cologne on November 12.

In written statements, Germany Democratic Kurdish Society Center (NAV-DEM) and Democratic Alevi Federation (FEDA) called upon everyone to join forces and resist the war, cruelty and fascism of the AKP government

In its statement, NAV-DEM emphasized that the Turkish President Erdoğan and the AKP government view the Kurdish people’s struggle for freedom as an obstacle to their sexist, nationalist and fundamentalist dictatorship and carries out all sorts of attacks including physical and cultural genocide to establish this regime.

NAV-DEM described the arrest of HDP parliamentarians and the seizure of Kurdish people’s municipalities as the latest phase of the AKP’s fascist attacks, and warned that AKP’s fascism may eliminate all forces of democracy unless a serious resistance is shown. NAV-DEM emphasized that the only way to protect existence and freedom was to put up a comprehensive resistance right now to defeat fascism, and called upon the democracy forces in Kurdistan and Turkey to come together and enhance the resistance. Lastly, NAV-DEM invited everyone to participate in the great march and protest that will be organized by the forces of democracy in Cologne on November 12.

Democratic Alevi Federation also issued a written statement and called upon everyone to come together in Cologne on November 12 to join forces against war and cruelty, and put a stop to the fascism of the AKP government.
