Nearly 74% vote for Kurdistan Parliament

The Independent High Electoral Committee had announced that ballot percentage for the Kurdistan Parliamentary Elections for 2013had reached 73.9%, which overcame the expectations, reported PUKmedia.

Sarbast Mustafa Head of the IHEC said in a press conference that electing process had been successful and that ballot percentage had reached 73% in Sulaymaniya, 76.4% in Duhok and 71.7 in Erbil.

The IHEC will issue a statement today, Sunday, regarding the electing process.

Voting for Kurdistan Parliamentary Elections had proven that the Kurds had reached great political awareness and that Kurdistan had established successfully the fundamentals of democracy.
