New actions claimed by Revenge Units, one policeman killed

A police officer died as a result of an action carried out by Revenge Units in Amed and a villa was set on fire in Istanbul.

Revenge Units in Istanbul and Amed claimed to have set a villa on fire while a traffic police was killed. 

Action in Amed 

Martyr Sakine Casız and Martyr Sema Yüce Revenge Units said in a statement: "On 12 March, the invading Turkish police officers, who were located in the garden and gate of the Ataturk school of the Bağlar district of Amed, were attacked with hand-made bombs and short-barreled guns."

According to the statement, a police officer died and two were injured in this action. The same statement added: "Our units returned safely to base despite the heavy presence of enemy forces in the neighborhood."

Actions in Istanbul

Martyr Arin Mirkan and MartyrHelmet Revenge Units also claimed responsibility for two separate actions in Istanbul.

In a statement the actions were detailed as follows: "On 15 March, in the Anatolian side of Istanbul, on the E-5 Göztepe, we targeted Istanbul traffic.

On 16 March, our units identified a villa in Silivri, where fascist groups run prostitution and drugs. The villa was set on fire."

The Revenge Units said that the actions were carried out to protest the isolation on Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan and added: "As long as the isolation on Leader Apo continues, our Revenge Units will continue to carry out actions."
