Paris massacres protested in front of the French consulate in Copenhagen

Kurds and their friends protested the Paris massacres in front of the French consulate in Copenhagen.

Kurds and their friends gathered in Copenhagen in front of the French Consulate to protest the massacres carried out on 9 January 2013 and 23 December 2022.

A minute's silence was held in memory of the martyrs of Paris at a demonstration carried out in Copenhagen, in front of the French Consulate. Activists read a press release in Danish and English.

The statement said: “France witnessed a massacre of Kurds for the second time. After the murder of three revolutionary Kurdish women on 9 January 2013, the fascist attack on the Ahmet Kaya Cultural Center in broad daylight on 23 December left three revolutionary, patriotic and artist martyrs and many injured. The Turkish state transferred the massacres it carried out in Kurdistan to Europe. The silence of European countries against the massacres in Kurdistan and the fact that France covered up those responsible for the massacres of Sakine, Leyla and Fidan on 9 January 2013, instead of clarifying them, paved the way for a new Kurdish massacre in Paris. We do not accept such a fascist attack and massacre in Paris, the center of so-called democracy, in the heart of Europe. We are very angry. Until the truth comes out, we will use all our rights of action within the framework of democratic principles in Europe and we will not be silent.”
