Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo pays visit to Ahmet Kaya Cultural Center

Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo visited the Ahmet Kaya Cultural Center and said: “We want to do something for your friends who lost their lives so that they will always live in our memories."

Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, Paris 10th District Mayor Alexandra Cordebard and a delegation of municipal councilors visited the Ahmet Kaya Cultural Center where the 2nd Paris Massacre took place.

Anne Hidalgo, expressed her condolences and gave the following message: “Your pain is our pain. We are with you, we love you, we embrace you. I know that the courage and resistance of the Kurds was also very important to us. Kurdish women and men fought against ISIS. We know that ISIS also threatened us in Paris. What the Kurds advocate is peace, unity and freedom. The values they defend are the values we defend. In this sense, the massacre that took place is unacceptable. As the Paris delegation, we will do our best to ensure justice. We want to do something for your friends who lost their lives so that they will always live in our memories. We want the efforts of Kurds who fight for us and think like us to be recognized. I say this not only as the Municipality of Paris, but also as a friend of yours; because there are a lot of things that I share with you.”
