Peace delegation ready to return if Turkey take some steps

Members of the Peace and Democratic Solution Delegation who returned to Maxmur refugee camp last month stated that they take the bilateral ceasefire calls made by the Democratic Society Congress (DTK) seriously and they may come back to Turkey if the atmosphere for a solution is created,

Welcoming the bilateral ceasefire call from DTK the delegation members stated that they are ready to go back to Turkey if the Turkish state stop the military operations against the PKK guerrillas, release the Kurdish politicians including several members of the Peace Delegation and start a dialog.

Peace groups who came from Qandil Mountain and Maxmur Refugee Camp to Turkey in October 2009 upon a call from imprisoned Kurdish Leader Abdullah Öcalan returned to Iraq on 20 July 2010 on count of the fact the Turkish government failed to start peace talks. Furthermore, the members of the peace delegation were prosecuted and several of them have been imprisoned. Although some members came from the mountains they did not return to Qandil to fight but remained in Maxmur so that they can contribute a solution.
