The 25-day-long march from Paris to Strasbourg, launched on 22 January to demand the freedom of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan continued on its 12th day. Organised by the Democratic Kurdish Council of France (CDK-F) and the Kurdish Women's Movement in France (TJK-F), the march will end on 15 February in front of the Council of Europe Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT) in Strasbourg. The march is taking place under the slogan "Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, Justice for Kurds" as part of the international campaign "Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, a Political Solution to the Kurdish Question", which was launched worldwide on 10 October 2023.

Peace Mothers in Turkey and Northern Kurdistan sent messages of support to the activists partaking in the march.

In their message to the Long March activists, the Peace Mothers said, "We congratulate this march. We will continue to be behind you as much as we can. We wish success to you and our people!"

Another Peace Mother addressed all the mothers in Kurdistan and said:

“All mothers from Kurdistan should stand up. This march should reach its goal under any circumstances. Everyone should stand up and join the freedom march. Everyone should understand that we mothers will not leave the path of our children and our leader. Let this be well understood!"

Underlining that the Freedom March is an obligatory duty, another Peace Mother stated:

"Everyone, young and old alike, should embrace this march because it is a march of existence for us. We are not afraid of torture and death, because we have already passed through all these paths. Our only fear is coffins coming out of the dungeons. Other than that, we have no fear of anything. The mothers of soldiers and policemen must also demand an end to this dirty war. Peace and tranquility must finally come to our homeland. We hope that the Freedom March will be successful, peace and tranquility will come to our country and the tears of mothers will stop."

Another Peace Mother said, "We always advocate for peace. Kurdish mothers should not cry anymore. All of them are heartbroken. Not our children, but we ourselves are also dying. Peace must be established between Kurds and Turks finally."
