Turkish police forces raided 140 addresses in 26 districts of Istanbul early Friday morning.

A number of people have reportedly been taken into custody in the expansive operations conducted by anti-terror teams.

Five thousand police are reported to be participating in the operation while search still continues in the addresses targeted.
