Kurds are taking action against Germany which has started imitating the Erdoğan dictatorship. Over a thousand people have filed charges against the criminalization policies

KCDK-E Co-chair Yüksel Koç spoke to the Yeni Özgür Politika newspaper about the attack and said: “Kurds will not abandon their values, so you shouldn’t bow down to dictator Erdoğan either.”

43 Kurdistani, Turkish and German institutions and organizations held a protest with the slogans “Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan and All Political Prisoners”, “No Pasaran! Fascism won’t go through!”, “End bans on Democratic Institutions in Kurdistan and Turkey” which tens of thousands from all over Europe attended. Even though the necessary permits were obtained beforehand, the German state banned various foods, drinks, books, CDs, Öcalan posters, YPG/YPJ flags and the flyer expressing the demand for Öcalan’s freedom like they did before in the festival in Cologne, and stockpiled police officers from other cities in Düsseldorf. The march’s path was surrounded by water cannons and police vehicles while helicopters kept constant watch through the demonstration.

OVER A THOUSAND APPEALS

KCDK-E Co-chair Yüksel Koç stated that they are preparing for legal action due to the bans, preventions and attacks on November 4, and added: “The people wounded or otherwise inconvenienced by the attacks submit their appeals to us. We are in possession of over a thousand appeals, which will be taken to the justice system through our lawyers. The people suffering damages have submitted individual appeals to the courts as well.”

Koç mentioned the Turkish and German foreign ministers’ meeting in Antalya on November 4, and referring to the Schröder-Erdoğan meeting beforehand, said: “The German citizens the Turkish state took hostage have been released by sacrificing the Kurds. We see very clearly that the attack and the reckless behavior are demands of the dictator. Germany should not bow down to the dictator. Taking Erdoğan’s anti-Kurdish policies to Germany only serves Turkey as a state and dictator Erdoğan as a person. This is strengthening the hand of Erdoğan, who supports ISIS.”

Koç stressed that the obstacle on the path of Kurds towards freedom is the AKP-MHP fascism, and said: “Don’t give Erdoğan more power regarding bans against Kurds. This policy will harm Germany and open up space for ISIS.”
