It is reported that ISIS militants opened fire on Turkish soldiers at the border in Elbeyli district of Kilis Thursday afternoon.

Kilis Governor Süleyman Tapsız announced that one soldier was killed and two others were wounded as a result of fire opened from the ISIS-held town of Eyeşe (Ar-rai) across the border. The Governor said the shootout continues, and that the wounded are in good state of health.

The non-commissioned military officer killed in the gunshot was identified as Yalçın Nane, and the wounded as Fatih Kurt and Necef Çakmaktepe.
