While the fascist attacks on the Kurds living in Dortyol continue and the Kurdish shops and houses are being targeted 2 Kurdish shop owners were injured with fire arms. Security forces are deliberately watching the incidents rather than taking any serious actions to stop the attackers. Similar incident also happened in Inegol district of Bursa lat week and police failed to defend the Kurds attacked by so called ‘ülkücü’ racist groups.

Father of 20-year old Kurdish youth Yunus Hanas who was injured by the fascist Turks in Dortyol gave ANF the details of the attacks.

Emin Hanas said: “After we heard that the shops belonged to the Kurds are attacked by the nationalists together with my two sons and my nephew we went to the high street where I run a café. When we arrived there we saw that the café was burnt down with gasoline and even the walls have been destroyed with hammers. Not only our business but also all other shops run by the Kurds were like that.

While we were trying to make a damage assessment we saw a group of nationalist gathered on the other side of the street and chanting anti-Kurdish slogans. Police used tear gas to disperse them. Then together with my two sons we started running away towards home but soon we realised that we are being chased by a group of ten. They had sticks, stones and weapons in the hand. I tried to send my sons home so that I could distract the attention of the group but they did not leave me. Then we heard shootings, until the end of the last bullet in the cartage. My son Yunus was shot. We took him to hospital immediately”

Emin Hanas also stated that he has been living in Dortyol for years and this is the first that he is witnessing such a thing. He further stated that now they cannot go out of the house because they are scared. He also things that the real motivation behind the attacks are banish the Kurds from Dortyol and dekurdify the town.
