Shopkeepers in Dicle district of Diyarbakir did not open their shutters today in order to protest the ongoing operations against the PKK and brutal treatment by the Turkish army on the bodies of the guerrillas.

It is reported that apart from pharmacies and bakeries majority of the shops are closed and the town is very quiet.
