Six ÇHD lawyers detained in Izmir

In the western province of İzmir, lawyers from the ÇHD (Çağdaş Hukukçular Derneği - Contemporary Lawyers Association), shut down by a statutory decree, had their homes and offices raided by the police in the early morning hours. Lawyers Dinçer Çalım, Nergis Tuba Aslan, Şule Arslan, Bahattin Özdemir, Emel Diril and Yemen Cankan were detained in the raids.
Searches continue in the raided homes and offices of the lawyers, while the lawyers themselves will be taken to the Izmir Anti-terror Department following their medical check-ups.
