Turkish army who set fire on at least 33 different regions in the last month in Kurdish region set fire on the forestland in Bingol.

It is reported that Turkish soldiers conducting an operations against the HPG guerrillas around Ekinyolu village close to Bingol city set fire on forestland at around 21:00 last night. The locals reported that the soldiers also prevented the villagers who attempted to put out the fire with their own limited means.

Since the increase of the clashes between PKK forces and the Turkish army, the soldiers are deliberately setting fire on forestland around the operations areas so that the Kurdish guerrillas will not be able to hide.
