112 Non-governmental Organisations based in South Kurdistan issued a common press release in which they welcomed KCK’s unilateral ceasefire of 13 August.

The NGO’s gathered upon the call from peace envoy Þerin Amedi supported KCK’s ceasefire. The ceasefire was also supported President of the Federal Region of Kurdistan Mesud Barzani, government spokesperson, Goran movement and KDP vice president.
