France-Kurdistan Solidarity Association Chairperson Sylvie Jan and academic Pascal Tore wrote a book called “Stop Erdoğan!”, which has been published by France-Kurdistan publishing.
The book summarizes the Kurdish issue as a whole and was published in a 160 page “pocket” format. Jan and Torre have analyzed the geopolitical turmoil in the Middle East and stress that in these conditions of conflict and political construction, Kurds emerge as a fundamental actor. The book also talks about the fight against ISIS, the Kobanê victory, the developments afterwards and Turkey’s destructive role and crimes in the region.
The book points to the political map and the darkness in the Middle East and underlines the following: “The Kurds’ stance creates great hopes for all peoples who want to be free and who are engaged in values and social and democratic progress.”
In the book, Jan and Torre particularly stress the need for large-scale solidarity. One of the top demands listed in the book is the freedom of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the removal of the PKK from the “terrorist organizations” list.
The book doesn’t forget about the three Kurdish women revolutionaries who were killed in Paris on January 9, 2013, and poses criticisms on the case not beginning even though the indictment does include the Turkish state’s role in the massacre.
The book criticizes France’s, the European Union’s and the US’s approach towards Turkey and says, “It’s time that democrats unite to tell Erdoğan to stop.”
The book retails for 10 Euros, and can be obtained through the Facebook page of the “Association de solidarité France-Kurdistan”.
