They left the Altýnbaþ family in Yalova, and now the Saturday Mothers are on their way to their next stop, Gemlik. Determined and cheerful despite the unbearable heat of these days.
The mothers were met with great respect by the executives of BDP (Peace and Democracy Party), Tunceli Cultural and Solidarity Institution, ESP (Socialist Platform of Oppressed), Emep (Labor Party) and DHF (Democratic Rights Federation) in front of Gemlik station.
Chanting slogans and carrying photos of their disappeared relatives, the mothers walked out from the station to Taþ Köprü Shuttle where they called out to people.
Tunceli Cultur and Solidarity Institution Chairman Yusuf Topçu started his speech by reminding that the Saturday Mothers have decided to walk to parliament in order to repeat their demands for justice for their disappeared relatives. Topçu stated that they feel much honoured to welcome the mothers who have been fighting for years always holding their heads high.
