The motion stating that government's inititative is discriminatory against Kurds was rejected

The parliamentary motion filed by the BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) claiming Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoðan’s Kurdish initiative is discriminative was excluded from Parliament’s agenda Thursday.

The Nationalist Movement Party, or MHP, protested the motion by refusing to speak about the motion.

In the motion the BDP argued that Erdoðan had failed to fulfill the government’s promises featured in the government’s plan and for discriminating Kurds. The motion also claims Erdoðan is putting pressure on his opponents using illegal wiretaps.

Speaking in Parliament’s General Assembly, BDP Þýrnak deputy Hasip Kaplan accused Erdoðan of “turning into a ‘military personality.’”
