A train has been derailed today apparently due to an explosion on the rail traks. Turkish railway authorities said they suspected the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) to be behind the explosion. According to first information released by the authorities, explosive have been set off on rail tracks. Eight carriages of a train carrying both passengers and cargo directed east were derailed. The explosion occurred between the town of Divriði and the city of Erzincan.
No injuries have been reported.
