TUHAD-DER (Solidarity Association of Prisoners' Families) will stage a march in Van to demand the urgent release of 256 ill prisoners in Turkish jails.

The Association has called for participation in the march to F Type Closed Prison which will start from the office of the BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) Van organization at 13:30 on Friday.

In the leaflets distributed across the city, the association reminded that the release of ill political prisoners was among the primary conditions of the resolution process Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan initiated.

TUHAD-DER pointed out that none of the 256 ill prisoners have been released for the last six months, since the beginning of the resolution process, despite the medical reports they have which confirm the need for their release.
