According to a report published on Özgür Gündem, and translated by Rojava Report Turkey is providing medical treatment for the armed groups it organizes to attack Rojava at a field hospital at the General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises and private hospitals found across Urfa. On the other hand, wounded YPG members have been questioned in their beds by the police disguised as medical staff.

In a meeting organized by the Urfa branch of Health and Social Services Syndicate (SES) regarding the health problems in Urfa, the branch chairman İsmet Karadağ stated, “In the past month, for the first time a few YPG members were brought over. We have been informed that the police, disguised as medical staff, questioned the wounded citizens and monitored their every step. When asked who they were, they said they are from the medical unit of the police. Does the police really have such a unit that we are not aware of? (…) It is forbidden to talk to any patient without a doctor’s permission. This serious allegation should be immediately responded to by the governor and security officials.”

Karadağ continued, “There are rumours of a field hospital on land belonging to the General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises, which provides services for armed groups. There are also rumours of hospitals that provide services to the heads of armed groups in the basements of apartment blocks in the neighbourhoods of Urfa – Bahçelievler, Eyyübiye, and many others. It is said that these leaders are treated in these field hospitals because they cannot be brought to actual hospitals for security reasons. There should be an explanation for this immediately.”

It has been recently reported to the press that armed groups connected to Al Qaeda are using the General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises in Ceylanpınar to provide guns, ammunition, and food, and to transport the wounded.
