Two occasions in Raqqa to celebrate

Raqqa sees itself being liberated step by step in the Operation Wrath of Euphrates launched by SDF forces in November last year. This is what entails beautiful occasions for true festivities to Raqqa's inhabitants.

As millions of Muslims around the world celebrate the Ramadan holiday today, in the regions liberated by Syrian Democratic Forces in the Wrath of Euphrates, a second festivity gives reason for celebration, which is the joy of having a liberated and free land, home, will, belief and life.

Syrian city Raqqa had been under ISIS siege of terror since 2013. The ISIS gangs didn't miss any chance to brutalize the inhabitants and kill off any pleasant anticipation for festivities. It is the first time for the people to celebrate their holy day in freedom, after YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) forces initiated operations against ISIS in Raqqa and kept pushing them out.

Raqqa sees itself being liberated step by step in the Operation Wrath of Euphrates launched by SDF forces in November 2016 following the declaration of the Operation Wrath of Euphrates, which returns the true atmosphere for real celebration to the people. Around 150 thousand civilians have already been rescued by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) from the clutches of ISIS and relocated in safe zones. Some of those civilians have already returned to their villages which have been cleansed in the course of the operations.

The last phase which will rid Raqqa of ISIS terror reign once and for all enters its 20th day.

While Raqqa's inhabitants keep their eyes on their city with great anticipation waiting to hear its liberation, SDF fighters visited the hopeful people in the morning to celebrate the holy day of Ramadan, and were embraced with great delight, some of whom shed even tears of joy. They invited the SDF fighters into their tents and offered festivity sweets to them. Women and children who had to suffer ISIS' ugliest face, embraced the guests.

Solidifying their great anticipation, the fighters and inhabitants of Raqqa promised each other to celebrate the next holy day in a completely free Raqqa, whereafter the SDF fighters continued to visit the villagers to wish them a nice holy day.
