The religious body Mufti’s Office in Van held an end of term event in their Summer Qoran Courses program and put 7-year-old girls in wedding dresses.
After the minimum age requirement of 12 was lifted for Qoran courses, Van Provincial Mufti’s Office held a summer program and in the closing events for the end of the term, made girls aged 5 to 8 in wedding dresses, which was faced with protests from the locals.
