Wise People: Democratisation Package might come short of expectations

Members of the wise people commission established to give impulse to the process towards a solution to the Kurdish question have said expectations for a new democratisation package to be presented in parliament might be not entirely met.
Professor Mithat Sancar also underlined the need for Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Ocalan to be given a more access to communication in order to fully play his role.
Sancar stressed that it is important to wait and see what the package contains before making any judgement but also added that the commission has pointed out to a number of issues deemed crucial to really enhance the project and allow the creation of an environment favourable to dialogue and mutual understanding.
Human Rights Association (IHD) chairman Öztürk Türkdoğan said the government is having a very slow approach and takes a long time before taking any step.
