Young activists in Europe open celebrations for 43rd anniversary of the PKK's establishment

Young people from Kurdistan opened the celebration for the 43rd anniversary of the establishment of the PKK on Friday night.

The 43rd anniversary of the establishment of the PKK was celebrated with marches held in Zurich, London, Bordeaux, Duisburg and Vienna.

Tevgera Ciwanên Tekoşer (TCŞ) and Jinên Têkoşer (TekoJIN) organized the celebration events.

ZURICH

Kurds in Zurich got together at Helvetiaplatz to attend the celebration of the 43rd anniversary of the establishment of the PKK organised by young Kurdish activists.

In his speech, Zurich Kurdish Community Center co-chair Hikmet Aralan, emphasized that the PKK was the hope for the freedom of peoples, especially the Kurdish people, and that the PKK struggle has made history.

LONDON

As part of the "Werin Cenga Azadiyê" campaign, an action took place in London as well to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of the establishment of the PKK.

Gathering in London's Trafalgar Square in the evening, young activists carried PKK and TCŞ flags and lit torches.

BORDEAUX

The celebration in Bordeaux was organised in Stalingrad Square despite the heavy rain.

Young people reading leaflets in French often chanted slogans and marched to Bourgogne Square.

DUISBURG

An action was also organised in Duisburg. Gathering at Bebelplatz, young Kurdish activists chanted slogans and read leaflets in German.

VIENNA

Young people also took to the streets in Vienna. The action was held in Reumanplatz, where many fascists live. Despite the provocations, the young activists carried out their action successfully.

The Vienna police tried to detain some of the demonstrators who did not respond to any provocation.
