Several youngsters took to the street in Akdeniz and Toroslar distrýcts of Mersin to protest against the torture suffered by Kurdish guerrilla’s bodies.

The bodies of HPG (People Defence Force) guerrillas who lost their lives in the clashes in Cizre/Þýrnak and have not been returned to their families and protests keep spreading around the country. The police intervention in Mersin has resulted in clashes.

Young demonstrators gathered in Þevket Sümer, Yeni Hal, Gündoðdu and Siteler districts and marched to Pazar district, chanting slogans like "Bijî Serok Apo", "Be Serok jiyan nabe", “Revenge”. Police attacked the people with gas bomb and pressure water. Young demonstrators responded to the police's attack with molotov cocktail and fireworks. The clash between police and demonstrators last night lasted for several hours.
