The celebration took place at the picnic area on Hönggstrasse. YPG, YPJ, PYD flags and posters of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan were hung in the celebration area.

Affter a minute silence, the PYD Swiss representative Abbas Omer addressed the crowd.

During the event, PYD European Representative Zozan Derik made a speech and emphasized the struggle in Rojava.

Derik reminded the thousands of martyrs given in the Rojava Revolution and said that it was inspired by Abdullah Öcalan.

The event ended with dances and songs.
