• Czech couple released from Turkish prison 

  A Czech couple who had been in prison in Turkey since the end of 2016 for alleged membership of the YPG has been released. They were brought home on Friday on a special flight.
• 61 bodies recovered after boat capsizing in Lake Van 

  After the sinking of a refugee boat on Lake Van at the end of June, 61 bodies have been recovered so far. They are refugees from Pakistan and Afghanistan.
