Deir ez-Zor Civilian Administration decided to release 103 individuals under arrest for aiding and abetting ISIS following a meeting yesterday.
On the call of clan sheiks and opinion leaders, the Northern and Eastern Syria Autonomous Administration held a press conference and stated that 283 individuals under arrest for aiding and abetting ISIS gangs who hadn’t been directly involved in crimes against the Syrian peoples were to be released.
Deir ez-Zor Civilian Assembly ruled to release 103 individuals who were under arrest for aiding and abetting ISIS gangs in a meeting held in Siwer. Representatives from the Egidat and Begara clans as well as families of the arrestees were present in the meeting.
Deir ez-Zor Executive Assembly Deputy Co-chair Xelef Al Asad, Syrian Future Party Member Ehmed Al Casim, Bisera Popular Assembly Co-chair Sakir Salih and Egidat Clan Leader Cemil Al Hafal spoke in the meeting.
The speakers thanked the Northern and Eastern Syrian Autonomous Administration for the pardon and proposed that the released arrestees could serve society to avoid falling into the same mistakes again.
The released individuals were reunited with their families by the end of the meeting.
