11 more civilians abducted in occupied Afrin

The Turkish army and allied mercenaries continue committing crimes in occupied territories of North-East Syria.

Turkish occupation forces and allied jihadists continue their inhumane attacks against civilians in the occupied Afrin region.

Sources from Afrin report that the invaders kidnapped a 14-year-old child in Afrin on August 19. The child, Selwa Ehmed Şaşo from the village of Dargire in Mabata district, was reportedly taken to the military headquarters in the Amara village and was released after being held there for 24 hours.

Militiamen from the so-called Fatih Sultan Mehmet mercenary group kidnapped a civilian by the name of Fewzî Neşet Hesen from the Gewrika Jorîn village in Mabata. The aftermath of the man remains unknown.

On August 8, occupation forces kidnapped Hisên Abdurehman Osman (68), Izet Mihemed Osman (58), Xelîl Izet Osman (23), Mistefa Elûş (46), Osman Mihemed Reşo (65) and Ferîde Ebdo (35) from the Çolaqa village in Jindires district.

Mihemed Nûrî Şêxo (50) and Abdurehman Nûrî Şêxo (45) from the same village were also abducted on August 18.

Civilian Rocan Hisên (28) who was abducted from the village a month ago, has also been missing since.

Afrin has been occupied by Turkey since March 2018. Kidnappings are a common source of income for the Islamist mercenaries of the Turkish state. Since the beginning of the occupation of Afrin, human rights violations and war crimes have been on the agenda in what was once the safest region of all Syria. In addition to a classic colonial policy, Turkey continues to practice a policy of ethnic cleansing, which has driven hundreds of thousands of people from their ancestral settlements. The demographic change in favour of Turkey and its Islamist invasion forces, crimes such as kidnapping, torture, extortion and murder are happening with the de facto approval of the international community of states.
