The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Press Center announced in a written statement on Tuesday that the aggressions of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries have been continuing since November 19th.
“They have expanded their aggressions, targeting civilians and the economic and service facilities.
In addition to targeting the areas with shells on a daily basis, the mercenaries continue launching ground attacks and infiltration attempts in our areas,” said the SDF statement.
Over the past few days, several attacks were thwarted by our forces, said the statement, which further included the following:
“On December 4, the Turkish-backed mercenaries launched an infiltration attempt on the village of al-Dibs, in the western Tal Tamir countryside. In response to this attack, our forces killed four mercenaries, foiling the attempted attack.
On December 5, the occupation’s mercenaries attempted again to infiltrate the area, but this time in the village of al-Arisha, Tal Tamir countryside. However, our forces also responded to this attack and clashed with the attacking mercenaries, killing six of them, in addition to confiscating 2 AK-47 rifles, two night vision scopes, and a cell phone.
On December 7, the Turkish-backed mercenaries stationed in the village of Mushairfa Ruma, located between Tal Tamir town and Serê kaniyê / Ras al-Ain city, attempted to attack our areas. However, our forces thwarted their attack, killing four of the attacking mercenaries.
And on December 8, the Turkish-backed mercenaries stationed in the base located in the occupied village of Um al-Khair, Zarkan countryside, attempted to attack the area. As a result, our forces responded to them and killed four mercenaries and six others were wounded.
In the total outcome of our forces’ response operations, 18 mercenaries were killed and 6 others wounded.”
