3rd Training Cycle of Self Defense Special Forces completed
The 3rd Training Cycle of the Self Defense Special Forces for 50 recruits at Martyr Zekeriya Academy has been completed.
50 recruits have completed their training in the 3rd Training Cycle of the Self Defense Special Forces (HPX) at Martyr Zekeriya Academy.
During the 3 months of the Training Cycle, named after Mistefa Osman who fell a martyr in Ayn Daqna on July 17, the fighters were given lessons on ideology, right to self-defence, the meaning of a democratic nation and arts of war.
Efrîn Executive Council Co-president Osman Şêx Îsa, council representatives and YPG/YPJ fighters were present at the graduation ceremony.
Speaking after a minute of silence, Behcet Ebdo, Co-chair of Efrîn Canton’s Defense Council, congratulated the graduated fighters on the completion of the Training Cycle, and stressed that attacks on Efrîn and Shehba will achieve no results, nor break the will of a people that organized themselves with the philosophy of a democratic nation.
Following the speech, the graduation ceremony continued with a military parade and ended with chants of slogans expressing loyalty to Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan and YPG, YPJ forces.
