The Turkish army and their jihadist proxies carried out intense shelling with tanks, howitzers and mortars on villages in the districts of Sherawa and Shera and villages in the Shahbah region.
Afrin Liberation Forces issued a statement claiming responsibility for two sabotage operations.
The HRE statement said: "On February 3rd, our forces carried out two sabotage operations against Turkish-backed jihadists in Maryemin village of the Shera district and in the Mareh region."
The statement added: "As a result of those operations, 1 jihadist was killed in Maryemin. In Mareh, 4 jihadists were killed and 3 jihadists were injured.
