Afrin Students Movement planning future activities

Afrin Democratic Students Movement held a meeting to evaluate the conditions of the students and the latest developments in the region.
The meeting, held at the Serdem Camp in Shehba, was attended by over one thousand students as well as the co-chair of the Northern Syrian Democratic Federal Constituent Assembly, representatives of the Autonomous Administration, representatives of the Democratic Society Education Committee (KPC-D) and members of Afrin and Shehba Council.
Hediye Yûsif, co-chair of the Northern Syrian Democratic Federal Constituent Assembly, made an evaluation of the developments in the region.
Co-chair of the Afrin Executive Council, Shîraz Hemo, said that Syria has undergone a historical process.
Stating that the people of the region continue their activities in all areas despite the attacks, Hemo said that the education activities will continue and every student will continue to study in his mother tongue.

After the speeches, the meeting continued with organization and training procedures and evaluations about the state of the schools in the region. Then, the statute of the movement was read and every item analysed.
Seven members were elected to the coordination of Shehba and Shêrawa Democratic Student Movement.
The meeting ended with the following decisions:
* Struggling against the isolation imposed on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan
* Promoting the organization of the students in the framework of the resistance path of Martyr Rustem Cudi
* Carrying out activities for the freedom of Afrin
* Setting up a headquarters for students
* Organizing cultural, art and literature activities
* Developing sports activities
* Starting training programs in all areas of the region
* Intensifying of scientific activities for students
* Increasing students' sensitivity to specific war arguments
* Organising annual festivals in each school
