PYD (Democratic Union Party) Co-Presidency Executive Committee Member Aldar Xelîl said that it is the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria that will lead the current historic process in Syria.

In an interview with ANF, Aldar Xelîl stated the following: ‘In such a historic period, a new era is being written for Syria and the Syrian peoples. The project of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria is clear. This project, the Democratic Nation, has acted and expressed itself for years in line with the freedom and equality of the peoples. With the overthrow of the government, we have the opportunity to further develop our democratic project. However, with the intervention of the Turkish state, which is against the establishment of peace in Syria, and through the gangs under its guidance, attacks are being carried out against the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and Manbij. The Arab, Kurdish, Armenian, Syriac, Turkmen, Assyrian and Circassian people must resist these attacks and protect the gains that were achieved with the blood of hundreds of thousands of martyrs, the labour of the peoples, the leadership of women and youth.

It is necessary to take a historic stance on such historic days. All peoples living in North and East Syria must mobilise to protect the gains achieved. If this historic stance is taken, the Democratic Autonomous Administration areas of North and East Syria can take the lead and determine the future of Syria. However, if there is a relaxation, if the plans of the Turkish state, which wants to deepen the internal crisis in Syria, are put into practice, Syria will be thrown into the middle of a new fire after 14 years of crisis, and this fire will be stoked up even more. We must prevent these attempts of the Turkish state and raise our resistance.”
