Antique smugglers arrested in Qamishlo
The Internal Security Forces have arrested six people in the North Syrian city Qamishlo for smuggling and trading in stolen archaeological objects.

The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria have announced the dismantling of a network of smugglers of ancient objects. The Internal Security Forces have taken action against the network in response to a complaint and have found three holy scriptures including a Torah written in Hebrew.
According to the Department for Combating Organized Crime, the detainees have confessed their crime.
Another person involved in this business was also arrested in Qamishlo where thousands of years old seals and items were discovered. The arrested persons were handed over to the justice system.
