The balance sheet of the attacks by the invading Turkish state and its mercenaries in the Shehba Canton and the Sherawa district of Afrin in August has been released.
Accordingly, the Turkish state and its mercenaries bombed the following villages and regions in August: Ziyaretê, Ehresê, Um Hoş, Zîwan, Mdyûnê, Birc Qas, Til Rifet, Merenaz, Aqîbê, Um Qura, Bênê, Meyasê, Wehşiyê, Elqamiyê, Şewarixa, Kefer Antûn, Aşê Feysel, Til Qirah, Hirbil, Soxanekê, Şehba Barajı, Xirêbiş, Dêr Qaq, Şealê, Til Enab, Qinêtra, Tat Maraş, Minix, Kefer Qaris, Bêlûniyê, Şêx Îsa, Hesîn, Xirnata, Nêrebiyê, Eyn Deqnê, Semûqa, Zirnaîtê, Keleha Şewarixa, Malikiyê, Teanê, Kiştear, Til Ecar, Til Medîq, Til Cîcan.
The Turkish army used thousands of mortars, howitzers and tank shells in its attacks. Fighter jets and reconnaissance planes of the invading state flew constantly over the region.
While citizens were martyred and injured in the Turkish attacks on the region, material damage was done to numerous houses and agricultural lands were burnt.
On August 2, a soldier of the Damascus government was injured during an attack on the village of Aqîbe in Sherawa.
On August 4, Til Rifet’s district centre in the Shehba Canton was bombed by Turkish drones. 9 citizens, including 6 children, were injured in the attack: Dîna Osman (6), Mehmûd Xerîb Mamo (6), Hisên Cemal Qasim (7), Êvlîn Ebdurehman Heyder (13), Orîvan Mihemed Ebdo (15), Ronahî Silo (27), Hisên Beyrem Elîko (43), Sebah Henan Hemo (10) and Azriya Ehmed Resho (23).
On August 16, the Bene village of Sherawa was heavily bombed, and a refugee boy named Ehemed Îmad Îbiş (15) was injured.
On August 17, a military point of the Damascus government forces around the Minix Military Airport was bombed, which caused material damage.
On August 19, a woman named Xedîce Şemo (55) and a child named Emîra Hisên Xelef (13) were injured in an attack on the villages of Shehba.
On August 24, a Turkish drone attack on Til Rifet district centre killed 4 citizens and injured 5 others. The names of the martyrs are: Reşid Elîko (28), Fatima Osman Mamo (21), Hemze Birîm and Zuhêr Ebdurehman Mihemed (36). The names of the injured: Hisên Murad Qerokî (13), Menan Reşîd Hisên (57), Egîd Fexrî Şêxo (32), Semir Ebdulqadir Reşo (31) and Edhem Reşid Henan (34).
