Co-chair Eyüp says over 100,000 people in Til Temir are without water and electricity

Til Temir District Council co-chair, Ciwan Mela Eyüp, said that more than 100,000 people were left without water and electricity due to the policy of the invading Turkish state.

The invading Turkish state continues to attack the people of Northern and Eastern Syria altogether. The Turkish state cuts off electricity and water, thus violating the most basic rights of the people of the region.

Til Temir District Council co-chair, Ciwan Mela Eyüp, told ANHA that with the arrival of the invading Turkish state and its mercenaries, the people in and around Til Temir were subjected to great persecution and that electricity and water cuts were used as a threat.

'100,000 people are left without electricity and water in Til Temir'

Ciwan Mela Eyüp said that the invading Turkish state cut off the water in the region and targeted more than a hundred thousand people in Til Temir. He added that the people of the region go to the wells for water and pointed out that the well's water is not healthy to drink as it is the source of many diseases.

Eyüp said: “The region is also suffering from electricity shortages. There is no electricity in the area. The Turkish state lowered the Euphrates River water level at a time when temperatures started to rise."

‘Guarantors forces don’t guarantee their Humanitarian Mission'

Adding that the guarantor forces in the region do not fulfill their humanitarian duties, Ciwan Mela Eyüp said: “The invading Turkish state is trying to put the Autonomous Administration under pressure in every aspect. The Turkish state is using the closing of Alouk water station against the Autonomous Administration. All the forces in the region are acting jointly and putting pressure on the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria to achieve their goals."
