The committee established for the renewal of the Social Contract continued to work for the second day.
The meeting of the committee appointed for the renewal of the Social Contract in Northern and Eastern Syria, began on Saturday in the Serdem Hall in Hesekê.
On the second day of the meeting attended by 157 delegates, discussions were held on the changes to be made to some articles of the Social Contract.
Speaking about the work carried out in the first two days, Hisên Welo, a member of the Committee for the renewal of the Social Contract, told ANHA: "We are discussing changes to some of the existing articles and at the same time we are talking about new articles to be added. The articles or clauses agreed were added to the Contract."
The Social Contract
Through an original Constitution, the so-called Social Contract, the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria, authorities proposed a pioneering political system based on participatory democracy, gender equality, minority rights, ecology and secularism. It was adopted on 29 January 2014.
