Curfew declared in the Euphrates Region

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria declared a further curfew in the Euphrates Region today in order to stem the tide of COVID-19.

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria has announced a curfew in the Euphrates Region to prevent the coronavirus epidemic. A curfew had been previously imposed in the region between the 15th and 26th of November. The Autonomous Administration had suspended the curfew for 5 days in order for the citizens to meet their needs. The curfew announced today will last until the 10th of December.

On the first day of the curfew, as tradesmen closed the shops, the mobility in the streets decreased.

It is reported that the curfew is imposed to reduce the number of coronavirus cases which have recently soared up in the Euphrates Region.
