The death toll from the drone attack on the town of Tel Rifat in north-western Syria has risen to four. 36-year-old civilian Zuhêr Ebdulrehman Mihemed succumbed to his severe injuries in a hospital on Friday, according to the hospital management.
The deadly drone strike by a Turkish combat drone occurred in the centre of Tel Rifat on Wednesday. Three people were killed immediately, while six others were injured, some seriously. The number of wounded was initially given as five.
The victims are 21-year-old Fatime Osman Mamo, Hemze Birim, who was to get married on the day he died, and 28-year-old Reşid Eliko. They were laid to rest in the Fafîn district of Shehba on Thursday evening with several thousand people taking part in the ceremony. Hemze Birim's coffin was decorated with his wedding suit.
