Explosion as joint Turkey-Russia patrol travels on M4 highway

An explosion occurred as a joint Russia and Turkey patrol in Idlib was travelling on the M4 highway. One Russian armoured vehicle was damaged.

Turkey and Russia carry out joint patrols under the "Sochi Agreement". This Tuesday, an explosion occurred during a joint patrol on the M4 highway.

As a result of the explosion, possibly caused by a bomb, a military vehicle belonging to the Russian Armed Forces was damaged.

Military measures were taken in the region after the attack.

There had been at least three attacks before, during the joint Russian-Turkish patrols. The last one happened on 17 August.
