According to local sources an explosion occurred in Afrin. Apparently the device had been placed in a rubbish bin in Rajo street, in the centre of Afrin. 

The same sources reported that three civilians lost their lives in the explosion although the exact number of casualties had not been established at this stage. 

A number of wounded people were taken to hospital by ambulances arriving at the scene.

The occupying Turkish army and mercenaries have taken over control of the scene.
